  • Zest and juice of 2 limes
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar (or honey)
  • 2 teaspoons ancho chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Instructions

In a mixing bowl or jar, combine ½ cup olive oil, zest and juice of 2 limes, 4 cloves of finely chopped garlic, 2 tablespoons agave nectar (or honey), 2 teaspoons ancho chili powder, 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin, 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, 2 teaspoons kosher salt, and 1 teaspoon ground black pepper. Whisk or shake until well mixed.
  2. Pour the marinade over your choice of meat or vegetables ensuring an even coating.
