  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs by removing the membrane and patting them dry. Cut into halves for fitting into the air fryer.
  2. Rub olive oil over the ribs and mix dry rub ingredients in a bowl. Massage the rub onto both sides of the ribs.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place ribs bone side down and cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway until they reach an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
  4. Brush with barbecue sauce and cook at 400°F (200°C) for an additional 3–5 minutes to caramelize.
  5. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serve with extra sauce if desired.
