  • 1 cup Butter (cold)
  • 1/2 cup Grated Apple
  • 1 cup Buttermilk (chilled)
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (for glaze)
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • pinch Salt (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and spices until combined.
  3. Cut cold butter into small cubes and blend it into the dry mixture until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Stir in grated apple and gradually add chilled buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface, pat it into a rectangle about 1 inch thick, and cut out biscuits using a cutter or knife.
  6. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, melt butter for the glaze and mix with honey and salt until smooth.
