  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 8 flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and chop the apples into small cubes.
  2. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, combine chopped apples with brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir well.
  3. Mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry; add to the apple mixture. Cook until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut tortillas into triangles and coat lightly with non-stick spray. Toss in granulated sugar mixed with cinnamon.
  5. Bake tortilla chips for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm apple dip alongside crispy tortilla chips for dipping.
