  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper; mix well.
  3. Spread half of the meat mixture into the baking dish in a rectangular shape.
  4. Layer with half of the mozzarella cheese, chopped spinach, and half of the marinara sauce.
  5. Cover with remaining meat mixture and seal edges well.
  6. Top with the rest of the marinara sauce and bake for 45–50 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Add remaining mozzarella on top and bake for another 5–10 minutes until melted.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving with extra marinara sauce on the side.
