  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolks, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture; mix until pale and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the peppermint chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop dough into balls and place them two inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for about 10 minutes for chewy centers or up to 12 minutes for crispier edges.
  8. Let cool on baking sheets for two minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
