  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp chili crisp
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 6 green onions (thinly sliced, separate white and green bits)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce (plus more for serving)
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 6 cups vegetable broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 lb frozen vegetable, chicken, or beef dumplings (mini wontons or potstickers)
  • 3 to 4 cups baby bok choy or bok choy

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chili crisp, white parts of green onion, minced ginger, and garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, broth, and rice vinegar; bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for 4 minutes.
  3. Whisk miso paste with some hot broth until smooth, then return to the pot.
  4. Add frozen dumplings and cook according to package instructions until nearly done.
  5. Stir in bok choy and half of the green parts of onion; cook until vegetables are wilted.
  6. Serve hot with desired toppings like fried onions and sesame seeds.
