  • 12 oz twisted pasta (gemelli or fusilli)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for coating)
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or dried herbs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil twisted pasta in salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken strips with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Press grated Parmesan into the chicken.
  3. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds. Add heavy cream and chicken broth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in softened cream cheese until smooth; then gradually add mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan until thickened.
  6. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce and simmer for about 12 minutes on low heat.
  7. Serve topped with garlic Parmesan chicken strips and garnish with fresh parsley.
