  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared dish. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
