  • 1 cup Glutinous Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ½ cup Hot Water (or as needed)
  • Refined Oil (for frying)
  • ½ cup Caster Sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cinnamon sugar by mixing caster sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and butter. Gradually add hot water until the mixture is moist but not sticky. Knead gently for about 5 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-low heat. Roll small portions of dough into balls and fry them in batches for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Immediately coat the warm doughnuts in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.
