  • 5 medium apples, sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/2 cups salted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp salted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Pinch of fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine sliced apples with lemon juice and other filling ingredients.
  3. In a large bowl, melt the salted butter and stir in crust ingredients until crumbly.
  4. Press most of the mixture into the prepared pan, top with apple filling, then sprinkle remaining crust mixture over the apples.
  5. Bake for 38 to 45 minutes until golden brown. Meanwhile, prepare salted caramel sauce.
  6. Drizzle with caramel before serving.
