  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  5. While baking, prepare the sauce by combining ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until mixed well.
  6. Thicken the sauce using dissolved cornstarch.
  7. Coat the baked meatballs in the sauce before serving.
