  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh cherries (washed, pitted, and cut into quarters)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in the microwave and let it cool. Prepare the cherries by washing, pitting, and cutting them into quarters.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, combine melted butter with brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined. Gently fold in white chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, and fresh cherries.
  6. Scoop portions of dough onto prepared cookie sheets (about six per sheet) and bake for 13–15 minutes.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
