  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup red apple vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 garlic cloves (finely minced)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Kosher salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, red apple vinegar, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, minced garlic, mayonnaise, black pepper, and kosher salt until well combined.
  2. Place the flank steak in a large zip-top bag or shallow container. Pour the marinade over the steak and ensure it is fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill over high heat. Remove the steak from the fridge and discard any excess marinade. Grill for about 7-8 minutes total, flipping every 45 seconds until the internal temperature reaches around 130°F for medium-rare.
  4. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain for optimum tenderness.
