  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour (for filling)
  • 0.5 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. For the crust, combine 2.5 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of softened butter in a mixing bowl until crumbly. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 2 cups of sugar, and 0.5 cup of flour. Add in the fresh orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the filling over the baked crust and return to the oven for an additional 30 minutes or until set.
  5. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
